Could I swap the stocks of a CZ Lux & American 527? I am after a left handed bolt action with irons but am not too fond of the Lux stock.

I suggest that you check the fit of the stock to your face before committing to swapping parts. The Lux stock is designed for iron sight use, the American stock is designed for scope use. I predict that if you swapped stocks the american stock would be too high in the comb to allow iron sight use unless you have unusually high narrow cheek bones. A custom stock might be the answer you are looking for.

A good guess, but actually turns out the comb is perfect for the sights. In restocked an FS barrelled action in an English Walnut 'American' profile stock, straight, high comb. It's one of most naturally pointing rifles on the irons too, I like a good firm cheek weld and find many combs too low, this is perfect, sights are right on target when the rifle's brought up. So yes, it will be a perfect fit, both in action, barrel, and ergonomics. You will need to make a recess for the iron sight 'lump' on the barrel but that will be very simple.

I installed irons on both my CZs today. I went with a Marble Arms folding rear leaf and ramp front sight without the ramp to keep them "low profile". They both shoot great and holding the rifle to shoot is fairly comfortable.
