Hi all, looking for some information regarding my new/used pistol I just received.
Can you confirm for this model that after the last round is fired the action locks in the open position?
The pistol I have does not. I had two of these years ago and memory tells me the action did lock open after last round fired.
If it is supposed to, would that be the magazine as the problem or could there be another issue related to this problem?
Thanks

I had a chance to dive into this - found the problem.

The spring tension is too weak for the follower to activate the slide stop.

A new magazine should solve this issue.

Cheers

I wonder if you could get a replacement spring? Also maybe check that the mag spring is oriented in the correct direction.

Unfortunately, the previous owner riveted the floor plate to the magazine body so not easily taken apart! I purchased this pistol in "mint" condition so feel this is better left to the seller to deal with.

Drill it out, do your thing and rivet it again. A rivet gun with all sorts of rivets included is about $20. Unless the point is to hold the seller responsible, which isn't unreasonable if the description said "mint".

Yes, that is certainly an option but the seller mentioned he has a more modern version that he is prepared to swap so was going with that option to begin with. If that falls through, then I like your assertive action to repair......thanks for the motivation if required. Cheers
