CZ has done a good job with Dan Wesson and their own products. This is a good thing for Colt. A 1911 with DW fit/finish and a pony roll mark.....sign me up!

Probably because they're a better gun. Haven't seen any complaints about the 715. New production Python's on the other hand.....well, they're a Colt after all.

The 715 has also been discontinued yet again as of this year, way too much competition from other well-known brands and likely the fact that you can get the older Dan Wessons for a fraction of the price on the US and even Canadian market at times was a perfect recipe for abysmal sales

I didn’t know that! I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. There’s nothing wrong with the used 715’s from yesteryear. Even after a lifetime of shooting they’re still great revolvers for someone else to shoot for a lifetime.

While I love CZs and their fantastic quality , I’d prefer that American businesses, especially those with a distinctly American history remain American ,but that ship sailed for Colt long ago .
I think CZ will do great things with what’s left of this iconic brand .
The Czechs make great guns .
