I had a brno #2 that had that same rear sight. I phoned my gunsmith and he quoted $300 to remove all sights and reblue the barrel. That sight is silver soldered on I think. The ones I've seen that were taken off , the guns looked like hell because of the big patch of bare metal-----Cowboy

If you are considering removing the rear sight to allow scope clearance, you can use the Millet see throughs for rimfire. Lux model has the 11mm rail but the Millet works just fine.
