CZ rimfire AR upper

i've played /w one and its okay, nothing to jump /w joy over, my DPMS (us made) .22LR upper that i sold recently was a much better upper by far

The CZ upper is made in Tennessee.

Marstar also sells them. The upper is painted aluminum which doesn't really turn my crank. Check out AR15.com under pistol and rimfire uppers. There are a few comments on that group about the CZ upper.

I have a DPMS AP4 .22 upper and other than some minor problems (broke a firing pin) its been very reliable and it could shoot 3/4" group at 50 yards with Eley Target Rifle ammunition. I've heard the CZ upper is pretty accurate as well.

They don't make it, they distribute it. http://www.v22upper.com/v_about.html
Even says "CZ Czech Republic" on the side of it

Sorry, I stand corrected. I had called CZ (CZ USA) sonetime last year after I first saw the upper and they wern't able to tell me anything about it other they had sold the rights to manufacture it to a company in the states. Go figure.

I have one and have just started using it. It seems to have problems ejcting spent casings. It extracts them just fine but seems to have a hard time kicking them out of the receiver. I am going to try it with many different brands of ammo to see if it is just an ammo issue. If it still has issues I think I might take it to a smith to check the chamber as I have heard stories about out of spec chambers.

Accuracy wise it seems very accurate but having to constantly clear jams puts a damper on things.

IMHO you can't go wrong with a Colt convertion kit.

I have one, but I heard that it may cause excessive leading and chamber throat errosion, I don't know if that is really a problem or a sales pitch for dedicated uppers. For me the conversion works like a champ.

The conversion should not be used with lead bullets, but any of the FMJ high velocity rounds work great.I have fired thousands through my Ciner kit,I just fire a few .223/.556 through the rifle (after swabbing the barrel) to blow any crap out of the gas tube.

My Federal 22LR value pack from Waly Word says "36 grain Copper plated Hollow point", the copper looks painted on. I have used these types alot, and my conversion extension area ends up with lots of lead buildup.

I however have no experience with the dedicated uppers, have considered it for the reasons above but have not researched it.
