:DWell, my secret project is finally finished. Time to let the cat out of the bag. A very good friend of mine *Buttwhat* and myself just got together today to play "rifle dress up" and this beauty was waiting for me.

It is a CZ modded to look like a Russian RPK. ;)

The wood is Chakte Kok. I believe this to be an African tree (correct me if I am wrong buttwhat) and I think this piece turned out fantastic. If not the best set I have. I am truly excited to post pics, so I guess I will.

I cant wait to take her out for a spin and see what it is like with the new furniture. I think I am truly in love :bigHug: all over again.

Now I think it is time for me to go :jerkit: for a bit while looking at my new girl.

Thank you ...Thank you....Thank you...Now to get back to working on sets for people I promised long ago...I'm truly sorry guys...in the New Year I should have quite a few different sets to post in the EE so keep looking... I'm not taking on any more custom work until I finish them... No bfiles....I said No...NO...*sigh* OK...for you ...maybe...Merry Christmas mister!

Maybe one more project I have in mind. I think you know what it is considering there are some rough pieces of it already. Ok, well 2 projects in mind.
 
Slow down mister...they are running out of metal and trees for your addiction! LOL Seriously though the drum mag rounds it out nicely... the pics look great but not as great as the wood looks to the naked eye... I really liked the feel all the pieces had in the end... I have to say that I was sad to see it leave...it really is a 1 of a kind piece... now my rifle sits naked...she refuses to let me touch her with the beaver barf and is crying that she wants her prom dress back...^_^
 
Sorry I had to strip her down to feed my addiction, reminds me of my prom night!!! Sorry Heather!! LOL.

You have to do something for yours now, something just as purdy!!!
 
Very nice man! Beautiful wood, classic look, and the battle axe style stock sure brings it up a notch. Congrats....

x2 on the drum mag...where did you get that???

i was never able to get on the 858 bandwagon , TILL I SEEN YOURS...WOW! me likes the rpk.
 
I custom made an AK one myself. Did it for less then HALF the price ($200) of what "a certain person" was trying to screw outta me ($450 + shipping)

HAHAHAH I dont think so.
 
You can get actual drum mags for the VZ 58 from a certain banned dealer from the states :p
 
With the squarish profile of the receiver cover and the relatively straight rake of the drum mag, looks a little more like an RPD to me. Nice work.
