Would like to get one but haven’t seen any since the bill c-21 stuff started. A lost cause at this point or any suppliers planning to bring some in?

I bought a vanilla shadow 2, hoping to one day find the OR slide. The vanilla shadow 2s are pretty hard to find though...

I think I was the only person who got a CZ shadow 2 optic ready version since the announcement of bill c21. And I got it from tesro, which could be the last one imported to Canada.

there have been dozens sold since the announcement. some came in from the USA.

Not sure if you guys have the same problem. Overall CZ shadow 2 is a great pistol but the optic ready version has its slide smoothed in the back without any stripes which is unlike the non optic ready version. I had a hard time operating the slide as A: CZ pistol’s slide is narrow compared to others and B: the optic ready version does not have stripe in back of slide and therefor make it hard to rack the slide. Especially in the case where there is gun oil

Not sure if anyone have the similar problem with CZ and what is the solutions. But apart from that, everything works great!

The solution is to buy a Shadow 2 that is not OR (or just the slide) and have Black Box Customs mill it to make it OR.

I have one of each. Got the OR first and it took a while to adapt to racking it with the front serrations but now I don’t even think about it. Just picked up the non OR at SFRC yesterday. Dry firing it yesterday evening and I realized I was still using the front serrations. I’m running an 11 lb recoil spring with the large buffer on the OR so it’s a bit easier than the new non OR with a new stock spring/ large buffer in it.

Jesus. Should really bought the non optic ready version in first place. OR version was like $300 more expensive and it doesn’t do much apart from making you hard to rack the slide. Do you know where I can buy a CZ slide part only?

I've seen a couple Shadow 2s available in the past few days. They're all stupid expensive now more than 50% higher than their release MSRP. Also as an alternative if you're just doing target or competition shooting - the TS2 seems to be more readily available and around $1500-1600.

I think I would just need a CZ slide that is compatible with shadow 2 with back serrations

Well I just ordered the CZ TS2 so we will see if it ever comes...haha. Crazy I know but I love my CZ75 SP01 Shadow so this should be more of the same, little better.

The optic ready slide is much nicer than having a regular one machined. It's wider and allows for a better fit of optics to the slide. Once an optic is mounted you can just rack off of it. If you don't mount an optic, learn to rack off the front serrations.

It’s much easier to rack the slide when you go to a lighter recoil spring. I’m using a 9 or 10lb spring. It was delivered with a 15lb spring.

Hmmmm . Okay if the Optic Ready Slide is a better option can you just purchase the Optic Ready Slide and mount it to a Shadow 2 ? Who sells just the OR slide ?
Thank You !
