Purchased a dlask 13 lb mainspring, installed in shadow 2, and thought it was heavier than the stock mainspring.
Heard of guys putting in 13 lb mainsprings to get the trigger pull down, but how come the trigger pull went up in my Shadow 2 ??
I measured the trigger pulls.
In da, stock is around 9.5-10. The dlask 13 lb woundnt measure on my Timney trigger gauge it was so heavy. In single action, stock is 3 1/4 lb, dlask is 3 1/2 - 3/4 lbs.
Also noticed the dlask mainspring is longer than the stock mainspring and the dlask was also harder to install, in terms of pressure needed to put on it to put the pin back in.
What spring are you guys purchasing and/or what are you guys doing to get that da trigger pull weight down in the CZ Shadow 2?

Appreciate any friendly advice

Thank you

Thought the stock mainspring supposed to be heavy compared to a 13 lb or even 11 lb. But turns out the stock one in my gun is lighter than 13 lbs?

Don't really know about Shadow 2, but Shadow 1 is where people would put in a 13lb mainspring to replace the stock 18lb one.

If you want to shoot in Production Division in IPSC you cannot use any aftermarket parts (internal)......so, find CZ 13lbs springs and use them.......

Sounds like you got a mislabeled spring. From what I recall (Slavex can jump in here when he gets around), the S2 stock spring is 16lbs. The 13lb should drop your DA pull to around 8-9lbs. I must have a bad S2 because I wasn't getting anywhere near 6lbs with a 13lb spring. A 11lb spring will bring you down to around 7-8lbs depending on how polished/broken in your friction parts are but you will need a reduced power firing pin spring to go with it. An 8lb spring with reduced power trigger and sear springs, along with a good polishing will get you in the 6-7lb range and you will need a RP firing pin spring and give that firing pin and chamber and good polishing and maybe a diet of Federal primers, CCI if you upgrade to a slightly heavier wide competition hammer.
