CZ Silhouette or CZ Varmit Which is more Accurate?

I'm looking at picking up a CZ Varmit 22lr or a CZ Silhouette in 22lr(or Style)

The Varmit has a 21" heavy barrel

The Silhouette a 22.5 med barrel

Questions:
Has anyone fired the Silhouette or Style(same but nickel finish), how well do they group?

Has anyone fired both, and if so which one groups better?

Longer barrel or shorter heavier barrel??

IIRC - Discussion on rimfire central basically says there's not much difference between the two.

I have the Silhouette and love it. I have not measured groups, but when I plink with cheap ammo, I often hit what I'm shooting at...

If you like wood and heavier barrels, buy the varmint...

I bought the style version about a year ago and love it! Shoots way better than I can.

That said they had a varmit model that I looked at the same day that I still dream about some days. The wood was gorgeous. Couldn't believe how nice it was made and was finished. I wanted to keep the weight down in case I went back to silhouette tho - Fool that I am!

I really don't think you can go wrong with the CZ's. But get an Eric Brooks trigger kit when you do buy one.

As mentioned you really can't go wrong with either of these models. Both of them will be very accurate - However, there are some pros and cons I see for both of them. On the plus side for the style - with the synthetic stock and nickle plated barrel you won't have to worry (as much) when you take it in the bush about it getting scratched up. I have hade my style through the bush many times and it still looks relatively new. Wouldn't look near as good as if I had a wooden stock. But on the flip side of this matter most people like the look and feel of the wooden stock much more than the synthetic stock. That is up to you to decide though. I use my style for hunting so I don't really care what it looks like a whole lot.

Next slight advantage I can see with the style is that with the sythetic stock the humidity does not affect POI (point of impact) a whole lot - not near as much as it does with the wooden stocked rifles anyway. This is a pro in terms of when you are hunting you don't have time to sight it in so the added insurance that it will be on providing quality mounts is nice. The varming, or other wood stocked models however can be free floated so that would be get rid of that problem anway. The sythetic stock would probbaly be harder to free float.

Accuracy all in all is probably about the same. My style will shoot around .4CTC at 50 yards with target ammunition which is definately enough - especially for position shooting to say that if the shot was off it was your fault.
