CZ Sp-01 22lr Conversion??

Does anyone know if the Kadet converson kit is available to fit the SP-01 (Tactical)? I ask because there are differences in the rail placement between this 9mm and the 75B models. Do they make 2 versions of the Kadet, or is there some magic I am not seeing here?

And, of course: does anyone have any experience with the Kadet conversion kit (accuracy, relibility?).

This may have been asked before, but couldn't find a direct red to it.
 
I fitted one of those .22 kits to an SP-01 in Jan or Feb. No big deal, you must remove a small ammount of metal from the rails on the .22 kit, a small bit from each side just at the front. Functions fine and looks kinda neat!

and - shoots ok? I am close to buying the SP-01. Have never shot it but HAVE fired the 75B and found it great fun. Have handled SP-01 and it's looking even better maybe. Having the conversion kit work out would save me some on a Ruger/High Standard 22. Though the kit is not cheap.

New (restricted) gun owner so looking for any advice.
 
I have a SP01 9mm, a CZ75B SA .40, and a CZ75B .40.
I use the same Cadet upper on all three guns.
Mine is more accurate than my Ruger Mk 2, and almost as good as the Victor @ 20m.
For the money I am very pleased.

I really like the Kadet conversion on my SP01 Shadow. Most trips to the range I just shoot .22 thru it.
As stated earlier, it took a little fine tuning with a light file to get it to fit just right. File down the front "lugs" on the conversion "slide" little by little until it slides in nice and snug.
Very reliable, very accurate, nice sights, comes with two mags. I picked it up in Calgary for $450.

Thanks for the info: this is good. I really shoot well with the CZ 9mm I've tried and the sp-01 is looking pretty good to me (though I'd buy a 2nd hand 75B too if I tripped over one). Good to know the conversion is working.

Is it an easy conversion: just equivalent to a field strip then back together?

I have just challenged the RPAL - perfect marks - and so am sitting twiddling my thumbs and 'shopping' the internet. Well: that and begging a chance to use club members pistols and revolvers whenever I can: what a great bunch of folks they are.
 
It takes me about 60 seconds to switch from 9mm to the .22 conversion and vise versa. A basic field strip as you said.

One thing about the .22 slide is that it is quite different than the 9mm slide in how it operates. Only a small section of the .22 slide actually moves (recoils). Most of the "slide" is fixed in place. It can make it a little more difficult to operate the slide by hand and get the first round loaded in the pipe. The slide does lock in the open position after the last shot...a very useful feature.

There are several other differences in the kit's design that are interesting.
 
I have a CZ 75 Kadet (original gun, not the conversion) and it's very accurate, well made, strong (full metal) and comfortable.

full size pistol with cheap ammo, wonderful !!

get a .22 conversion you won't regret it !
 
What about the sights?

How do the sights compare?

I'm wondering how similar the sights on the Kadet kit are to either the SP-01 or the Shadow version of it. For practice it would be nice if they were identical or close to it.
