Which holster for Shadow and what is your experience with aluminium grips?
Also, what do you guys think about changing main spring and if yes, which one? also, what extra parts to get in case....
This will be use for IPSC play.
 
Peter, you might want to check the IPSC rules in replacing parts of handgun in Production Division. I am not sure about the main spring replacement, but IIRC and maybe I am wrong.... (Check IPSC rules - Appendix D4 - Special conditions 18 & 19 & 20)
IPSC-wise you can only replace this spring if they are offered by the OFM of the handgun, else it is prohibited in Production Div. handgun. Again, I might be wrong on this.

A holster is something that I would not buy sight unseen. What works for me may well not work for you. It's a *very* custom sort of thing. Finding a place that has a selection of holsters in stock can be *very* tough. Down here I shop for them at big gun shows.

Check out CZCustom for the springs, I would recomend the 15lb mainspring, it keeps the Da above the 5lb limit and a bit smoother.
Personally, i like the Bladetech DOH for it a solid holster and you can still get the gun out smoothly and it is not that expensive.
My next choice would be the Ghost, a bit more money, but there are more adjustment options for it.
Mag pouches are a personal preference, still using my old Safariland ones from 99.

depends on what you are looking at. everything he sells does not met the producation list IIRMC. anything marked CZ USA i beleive is a no no as they are not factory parts but custom parts.

I have everything that you need in stock

Blade Teck Holster or Ghost (if you are planing to shoot in the US then go with Blade Tach)
Ghost Mag Pouches (these fit all double stack mags, so it will be the only mag pouch you will ever have to purchase)

I have the Aluminum Grips as well (personally I have tried wood and the rubber ones and when I installed the Aluminum oh what a difference...just great)

Shadow should come with a good spring but the only item I would keep as a spare is slide stop ( I also have one of them as well)

If you are looking for a belt I would go with the best C/R

As I stated I have them all in stock here in Canada in Canadian funds and depending where you live the shipping should be minimal.

the bladetech is, I think, the top of the line holster for anyone other than the very very few people who might care about the need to shave 0.1s on a draw in a small number of highly specific stage designes... I use a cr speed holster because I just really like it, and I had it before I knew about bladetech DOHs... I used CR speed mag pouches and they are good, I currently use ones I got from DT, I THINK they are called "ghost", the ones which you could install sideways (but I have them setup normally)... CR Speed belt is really good, nice and stiff...

For better or for worse pretty much anything you get from "cz-usa" is deemed OK for production, so go nuts with the various springs, and find a combo which works for you... ;)
 
Is a 7 year thread revival a new record??

its legal as long as the grip is within allowable distances from top of belt and from torso.
Rule book will tell you how to measure and what the measurements are.

I personally like my Ghost Stinger holster for my shadow over the baldeteck.. as for grips, I have big hands and the stock rubber grips work well but just recently ordered thick aluminum aggressive checker from cz custom and they feel great..

No Shadow, tried for a year but no. Will wait till IPSC Production division will drop silly 'don't touch trigger rule', than maybe we will see more other guns, not only Shadows and Stocks
 
CR Speed, DAA, Bladetech holster. they are all good. comes down to personal preference. I would go with DAA racer or deluxe mag pouces. they are the best out there
#13 main spring you will be about #6 double action and a #11 recoil spring. You can get them from CZ Custom.
