cz trigger options ?

are there trigger up grades for the cz? my issue is when i draw a bead on a target, and start to squeeze, and squeeze and squeeze,starting to wonder if safety is on... squeeze... running out of air now..squeeze...BOOM! F*3K !!!
going to mod the spring as per gremlin thread, this apearantly gives a heavier trigger, mabey this will help..
any advce? trigger upgrades? do it yourself or store bought?

does anyone have the same issue? does the gremlin fix help? can a guy shorten trigger travel?

Timney triggers have one. You can get a hold of mystic to possibly get one.
Alternate, remove bolt. There is an adjusting screw in front of the sear tang. May lighten it some what there if it exists on your model. Good luck

Yup, referring to the 600 series, or like bolt guns.... Sounds like a tragic story for a quality maker. Go figure.

He's referring to the CZ858. Timney has models for cz 452 455 and 550, but nothing listed for the 858. As far as I'm aware, there is nothing aside from polishing or a good gunsmith that can be done for the 858 trigger. It astonishes me as well, that there is everything under the sun for mods for these guns, but nothing to help, what is a kind of crappy trigger.

yes its a 858. love the gun but the trigger ....not so much, thought it was just me with the trigger thing, guess not, anyone else?
i am refinishing it now, hope to have it back together this weekend. will see if the gremlin fix of streching the spring will give more definition to the trigger, then at least you could pull up the slack before squeezing. as it is now i never know if its gonna shoot, forgot the safety on, or got the gremlin back....grrrrr!
also, i never had the gremlin till i read about it on here....SPOOOKY! LOL!

I can barely touch the trigger with the safety on, it gets right in the way of my hand. If I really want to, it can be done. When I use the safety, I pull the safety off as I bring the gun up, with a motion similar to a trigger pull. So long as I don't screw up somehow, it really is quite smooth.
I've since installed the Fab grip, which seems to make it even more noticeable that the safety is in the way.

no,no, i DONT mean i have the safety on, i mean this Godawful loooong triger pull and lack of trigger distiction, mixed with 1/5 or more rounds of "gremlin"(see that thread) you keep sqeezing and sqeezing and...nothing
i hope to have it back together soon we will see....
sounds like you got your moves figured out thou. do you shoot competively?

Guys, it's a military trigger.
It wasn't intended for precise target trigger work but for dirt, neglect and less than careful handling in a rifle made originally for select fire.
Unless a very good and ingenious gunsmith comes up with an aftermarket SAFE solution, I don't see how you're going to change this.
It's a miracle that this trigger still works after the butchering job that has been performed on that gun's innards.

yes it is a "buchterd" military trigger. that doesnt mean you take the "good enough" attitude, "good enough is rarely good and seldom enough"

I do know where your coming from, trigger is full of creep. With practice I have found staging the trigger and then once I get to that sweet spot just before it breaks, I concentrate on my breathing. Yup its a military rifle and that's all part of the challenge to shoot it as accurately as possible.

It certainly would be nice if there was an easy replacement drop in trigger. In the past I have used Autosol metal polish to smooth out triggers. Take the trigger apart and polish all surfaces which rub on one another.
