Can anyone with experience with the two pistols enlighten me on the grip size? I have no experience with a CZ Tactical Sport but am interested in buying one. I had a CZ 75 and loved the grip but the TS grip is larger. The only other double stack 9 I have experience with is the SIG P226. Do the grip sizes compare?

Yes in my experience they do compare. The TS with aluminum grips is even more compact that the standard TS and pretty sure smaller than the standard 226. I had the TS orange and it was a very comfortable hold - larger than the CZ75 with aluminum grips but really not that bad. I would say I have average sized hands.

I do not like the compact E2 grips on the 226. My 226 wears Nill wood grips which are thicker but still very comfortable and manageable.

If you didn't mind the 226 grip, you will have no problem with the TS.

The TS with factory wood grips is definitely a big gun to hold, and slippery. But with CZ aluminum grips (from the CZ 75 series) and grip tape it becomes both reasonably sized and very grippy.

[I have one for sale in the EE right now.]

I don't mind the P226 grip with Hogue G10 grips. I find the stock grips I have to stretch a bit for the DA pull.
That is my experience with the 226 as well so we probably have similar sized hand. I would not worry about the TS, particularly given it is SA.

Yes generally different but some similar one. Browsing czcustom.com will give you a good idea of what is interchangeable. Definitely different mags.

I own both. I have size large hands and I found the TS wood grips to be both too large and slippery. I switched to thin aluminum grips and the size is now very good. For my hand the shape is not ideal as the edges are a bit squared of but overall very good. My 226 is the enhanced elite version which has smaller grips. A little too small for my hands but I bought it as a gun for my daughter to shoot. Grips size is not a problem and even though it is a little small it doesn't really seem to affect my ability to shoot the gun.

Just remember the TS and Sig 226 are very different types of gun. The TS is a pure target/competition gun. It has a very light trigger (dangerously light under the wrong conditions) and is more fussy about ammo due to the tight tolerance. The Ts is also heavy. The 226 is a combat style gun, much heavier trigger pull especially in double action. It will work with pretty much anything you throw at it feeds, goes bang and ejects EVERY SINGLE TIME. Much lighter.

I have thousands of rounds through both of mine and they are both excellent. The finish on the Sig is more durable that the TS. The coating on the TS marks relatively easily. Both guns are keepers though.
