Ljungman,

How much more accurate do you find the 858? I've got an SKS, but am thinking of picking up an 858.

ALOT more. Now my Norinco SKS-D is pretty good for an SKS (sub 3" groupings at 100yrds) but every now and then it will have a "flyer" that hit so far from the main group you'd think I flinched.

My CZ-858 get usally sub 2" groups at 100yrds.

Hey..how come yours has wood furniture and not the partical board stuff?

Cause I'm special:D

If you want wood furniture, call Wolverine and get the parts kit with wood instead of the press-wood. Unfotunitly though, the buttstock will still be press-wood.

That is too bad they do not make a wood buttstock. I have (2) VZ's so I am going to make one a folder like yours. What does the wood cost?

Ljungman.....how did you get the LOWER handguard off of the CZ

I'm thinking of just refinishing my CZ wood....but I can't figure out how to remove the lower hand guard (below the gas piston where the barrel is). I can see in my instruction manual how to remove all the other furniture, but haven't got the slightest idea how that lower handguard is removed. I'm asking Ljungman, because he obviously had to remove the handguard to put his new real wood handguards on....but anyone who know how can respond....thanks!

There is a retaining pin just rear of the lower hand guard. It taps out easily.

Yep, just tap out the pin.

If you want the wood furniture you'll have to buy the whole parts kit from wolverine. Under $120 shipped.

nope...BUT I WANT ONE!!! 858 'cause then I can use it for stuff. That wood furniture looks great Ljungman! I am recieving an ar-180b in a few weeks...after that gets paid for the cz is next.

Cool beans pitdogboy. I have both the AR180B and CZ858. Nothing like passing someone in the woods with a "scary" rifle to get you some stares.

I have the 858. I recently repaired it, aqnd even though it broke, I still love it. The only gun I would like more would be my AR 15, and thats only if it were to become non restricted
