One last question I would like opinions on. I have heard that both Yildiz and CZ both make good quality shotguns. I would like to know if anyone has had an O/U from one of them and their thoughts on it. It would be great if anyone has had a chance to compare them together? The Yildiz is about $200 cheaper, but then I have to order it online and pay shipping. The CZ is at a local store and handles nicely. Quality wise is there many differences?

We stock quite a few of both. We really like the cz's and they are very good in that price range. We will be stocking fewer for a while as their prices have really gone up. However, we like the Yildiz a little better for fit, finish and wood quality. As an added bonus, they are a little cheaper! :)

CZ Redhead

I have a 20 ga CZ Redhead that is a very nice gun. Shotguns are all about fit so be sure to throw the guns you are thinking about to your shoulder before buying.

One big thing --- Yildiz parts are stocked in Canada!
Also the Yildiz is is a much lighter gun 5.3 lba in SxS and just under 6 lbs in O/U. I've only handled 1 CZ 20ga and it was close to 7 lbs.

had a chance to shoot a 20 sxs yildiz the other day.dealer brought it in on customer spec.very light.recoil was pleasant.in a good way.not like an older 12 would kick you on your butt.pointed very well for me.long lop.i have the same prob as you yildiz vs cz ringneck.dealer is bringing down a cz for me to try this week.i know it has a little shorter lop but thats an easy fix. it seems a little more durable than the yildiz.too bad the dealers around here couldn't keep a better selection in stock. the wood seems to vary a lot.talked to sakoalberta the other day seems like a great guy with better than average prices.looking forward to dealing with him.give him a call sounds like a pretty straight shooter to me.i'll let give you my opinion after i shoot the cz.

I really like the CZ Bobwhite due to the configuration that is available for that model. My 20ga weighs around 6.7lbs and the 28ga 5.6lbs.

The best regulated was my 12ga Bobwhite but I ended up trading that as I had too many 12ga at the time. It was an excellent fit as well and I have always regretted my foolish decision to part with that.

I owned the 16ga for a while and that too shot very well. Unfortunately, I found that the balance wasn't right (to me) likely due to the sxs built on a 12ga frame.....beats me why CZ took that shortcut  since they went to the extent of producing the other sxs on scaled frames.

ShotgunWorld Forum speak well of the Yildiz but they need to add to inventory double trigger sxs with straight grips and in various sub guages as well.

I bought a CZ woodcock O/U last summer, since then I've put many many rounds through it, I have use it almost every weekend for skeet and five stand since the day I bought it with out one bit of trouble.
I say go for the CZ if that is what has a better fit a feel for you.

So I like the looks of the CZ Bobwhite SxS in a 20 gauge, does Yildiz build a comparable gun? Does Yildiz build a SxS in 20 gauge with double triggers? Do they build a SxS in 20 gauge with blued or case coloured receiver, I see mostly silver.
