Is there rail available in Canada for CZ527 similar to Magwedge picatinny rail for Zastava M85?

What scope or mounting arrangement do you have that would benefit from mounting a rail on a 527? Is it so you can easily swap scopes between different rifles? You might have to resort to drilling and tapping the receiver, then use a rail that is compatible with a Marlin lever action. I don't know of anyone who makes a rail compatible with CZ's 16mm dovetail, although that's not to say there's not one out there somewhere.

I'd like to mount VOMZ x3.5 scope. It has 1" tube, but both rings go in front of turrets.

Apparently a one piece Pic rail can be ordered from CZ, part #19010. I expect it to be about $100 by the time you have it in hand.

I have CZ medium rings on my 527 and my Leupold 4-12x40 is still too high. I looked into a rail and weaver low rings but that would still be higher than Warne medium rings. I'm just saving up to get some from Kinneys as none of the Canadian suppliers I contacted can get them for me. Nobody makes low rings for the 527. TC

So does anyone one have a CZ527 rail in hand yet? I'd like to know more about it if someone had an example on hand.

I had bought 2 from kinneys, they are alright, but be prepared to do a bit of milling on the end of the rail, the 5 rifles I tried the rail on wouldn't fit because the dovetail on the 527 reciever was not milled the entire way. I milled the dovetail off the end of the rail to fit and it fit. The major thing I didn't like it's how the rail lined up with the stock end of the reciever, so I ended up making my own.

The Kinney will get you out of a bind and is rather inexpensive, but if you can get your hands on the cz one, I'm sure it is much better fitting

Sometimes combination of a rail and rings will give better height than available rings. It worked well on my CZ452. A rail can also provide for more flexible mounting position forward or back.
