I noticed that this AK-style compensator kept the muzzle down on my 7.62, but the muzzle jumped quite violently to the right. I had it oriented horizontally.

It has a detent to allow it to be tilted left or right. Looking at it from the back, I turned it clockwise so it clicked into the 1:30 orientation. No more jump to the right!!

The jump was not noticeable when shooting off a bench, but was very evident when shooting off-hand. Shifting it did not affect group placement.

It is supposed to face the 1-2 o'clock position for right handed shooters and 10-11 for lefties. The original design was to prevent muzzle jump during rapid shooting, thus helping to keep the rounds hitting where you originally aimed. At least this is how it was explained to me when I was learning about it using an AK.

Isnt it supposed to be on SBR's only? Way too much gas coming out of a long barrel would make it throw all over the shop I would think. What length of barel is the OP's rig? Im thinking of getting on for my 11.5"

Dlask's AKM comp was designed for 15.5" bbls with surplus ammo. You get more compensation with a longer barrel and less with a shorter one. Your 11.75" will also have alot more muzzle flash which the AKM cant reduce. The Czech brake is actually all 3 in one. Its a brake, comp and flash hider in one. I havent tried the AKM with an 18.6" barrel and solid stock but with the folder it stings your cheek a little. I doubt it would be a problem with the solid stock though.
