I have a blued CZ75 with walnut grips which was made in 1992. Is it a pre-b model ? What is pre-b meant anyhow ? Thanks.

The 'B' models have a firing pin block safety, the pre-B models don't. Also some of the pre-B guns have a Beryllium-Copper trigger bearing which was supposed to provide a smoother trigger pull. If you look at the slide a 'B' model will have a safety plunger for the trigger block (inside underneath)

Pre B's look like this. Among a few other differences, the most obvious will be that a Pre B says "Made in Czechoslovakia" on the slide and 75 instead of 75B. 75B's have a different hammer and sights and trigger guard shape. If yours is a 1992 it should be a Pre B.
