cz75b black polymer finish, any good?

I was wondering how durable that particular finish is. Does it hold up well? Will it get all chipped and look like crap in very little time? Does in and out of holster wear it easily? Is the satin nickel finish much better?

I have run a CZ75B on the range for 2 years. The black polymer finish holds up better than blueing. It can develope some chips and gouges, but just about anything can too.

Had a CZ75 back when they were first being imported with what they then called a "baked tropical finish" that did chip off in a few places. Took it to the local gunsmith, had it bead blasted & hot blued ...... turned out real nice. Another one of those "never should have sold it " guns that had to go so's I could get something new to play with. Mike

I had a (fairly new) cz-85combat with the black finish. I gave it to a gunsmith to have chromed... The poor guy was amazed by how difficult it was to get that %&*$%ing black finish off, he had to do something really strage with glass bead blowing, or something, to get enough of it off to apply the chrome. So, based on that, I'd say that it's pretty durable, haha ;-)

CZ finish

I just sold my CZ 85, which today may be like the 75B. I plan on getting a sig, so I hope I don't regret selling it. It was a very good gun, accurate, comfortable for my big hands, and reliable. The finish after a few years only showed wear marks on a couple of edges, no corrosion, or any other problems, and while I did store it dry, I did not touch it for a few years, and it still looks pristine.
