Has anybody measured the trigger pull on a stock CZ 85 ?

It is definately my next pistol purchase, but if the pull is too heavy I'll get it done where I buy it before I get it shipped.

I don't have the luxury of holding one before I buy.

My 85 combat has a 4.5 pound single stage pull. This trigger wears in and the linkage must be kept clean and lightly lubricated.

Buddy, before you ask your CZ dealer to start tweaking the internals, make sure he has someone who can actually do it. I got my start in formal gunsmithing about twenty years ago fixing CZ's other "gunsmiths" had made unshootable. Looks simple in there unless you know how all the pieces actually work together... I was pistolsmithing part-time back in those days, and had to re-do dozens of CZ's that would transition from single-action to double action mode instead of going "Bang!" Most of these dealers and gunsmiths never told their customers that they had had to farm out their slick trigger-jobs :) I charged them lots, and was not even embarassed!

My advice is to get the CZ where they give you the best combination of price, service, and CZ know-how - then shoot it as is. I've had my own CZ's down to well under 2 lbs single action, and I went back to 2.75 lbs as the transition after the first shot could still catch me by surprise :) After 1000 rounds, assess what you have, try a tuned one, perhaps, and then decide. The pull weight in lbs is not nearly as important as the quality and consistency.
