Tried for the first time my conversion kit , the machining is very rough , it seem a little finicky on the ammo , mine dont like the federal values pack 36gr but like better the American eagle 38gr ,

the only big problem with my kit is the guys who put the adjustment bolt and the locking bolt tighten then so much that i had to drill them and re-tap

if i can find the good ammo i think that will solve the weak ejection

first video was the first time i tried it the weather outdoor was -30 with the wind chill

The second video is the second time i tried it , after i drilled and tapped the hole to adjust the things i was still around -20 with the wind , it work a lot better than the first time but i need to try some 40gr for the third try .

For the people who bought those kit , if you shoot in cold weather dont forget to remove the sleeve and clean the barrel after because some rust can be form between the barrel and the sleeve

Is it difficult or possible to go back to 7.62? Wolverine still has an 858 for sale but I'd like to be able to shoot the original caliber.

tried some blazer round nose 40gr today and some automatch ammo , the automatch fail to feed a single shot ^^, wit hthe blazer it worked very well , some fail to extract or feed but a lot less than using the american eagle or federal bulk ,

but now i still have a little problem , the rear part of the extractor were the spring is broked and i lost the small spring in the car ^^ , but the good thing with this bad-luck is i still tried the gun after the breakage to finish to empty my mag and you know what ? The GUN RUNNED VERY NICE AFTER THE BREAKAGE ! BETTER THAN BEFORE GOT ONLY ONE FTE ON 50 ROUND ,

i will probably shoot it like this for a time and see if it still work well ^^

I shot it in the summer and no issue with the federal 36gr.

there was a glitch in the vid where at 1.30 , it sounded like a 3 round burst but only one casing was ejected . it sounded pretty neat, lol.

I found that the kit tended to work better with hollow point ammo. I tried several different types and it seemed that the round nose (like Blazer) had just a little bit of extra material at the tip which sometimes prevented rounds from feeding properly. Also, as it fires from an open bolt be careful that a round doesn't go off out of battery as it can cause a squib. Just my 2 cents.

By the way, if anyone is looking for replacement parts/extra mags from these, you can by them direct from the manufacturer and they do ship to Canada. I tried to get a new barrel liner from Wolverine but they said they stopped offering spares.
