CZ858 and VZ58 owners..I need help.

Just got back from the range today and start cleaning my CZ 858 when I notice the receiver cover is cracked On both sides. here is a picture.

What happened?
Do I need to replace the cover?
Where can I get a replacement cover?
Is this dangerous?

I have about 1200 rounds through the rifle?

Any help would be great!

The gun is only a couple of months old.
South african ammo.
There were no signs of excessive recoil. It almost seems like there was less recoil. The Norinco ammo has more recoil.

And the cracks just happened today.
 
wow, i've never seen that. you can send it back, order a parts kit from wolverine, or use my cover. I would send it back as its under warranty
 
Looks to me like when you were installing the cover the front of it was not in the notches of the reciever properly, and when fired the carrier jammed into it. Can you post pics of your bolt carrier? Are there scratches on the carrier?

Verry possible. Is the back cover dented on the inside or either bit rounded too?
