CZ858 bench rest gremlin?

Had my cz858 out yesterday. This was second time I fired it. First time 80 rounds to test function. Worked flawlessly. Yesterday I was adding a red dot and I was resting the gun on a bench rest. I was getting a malfunction almost every other round. She would feed a round but not "####" the striker. Not sure if that's correct wording. Lol. Not reset striker. Anyway when I got red dot sight lined up I fired at least a 100 rounds standing up with no malfunctions. What was I doing wrong? Not seating rifle firmly enough against my shoulder? Like limp wristing it?

Was the mag being pushed up by the table?

Hmmm. I don't think so. I was using an adjustable rest. As I'm sure all cz/vz users know its hard to shoot them from a bench. Pretty sure mag wasn't touching at all. But I will check that next time at range it was resting just ahead of hand guard because of fore grip
