I have a CZ858 with a Fab Defence handguard. I have an Eotech mounted on the handguard.

I usually shoot corrosive and so have to clean the rifle every time I shoot. I noticed that when I remove and replace the handguard it loses zero.

Is there a way to fix this without replacing the handguard and if not what handguard or mount would be recommended?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I don't have a Fab handguard so I can't tell you how to make it better.

I have a NEA handguard rail that I haven't rezeroed the optic in over a year. The rail has been removed/reinstalled dozens of times over the last year.

I have the fab defence handguard. It's great if you just use it for a handguard.

Seriously, IMO it's not suitable for use as an optics mount. Check out the optics sticky at the top of this forum for more options.

that is my take as well...I had the FAB. I would mount a light on it, or optics IF I didn't need to worry much about a wandering zero OR co-witness OR optic height relative to the comb o the stock.

I run the NEA now.

plastic picatinny rail + optic = bad

I do like the FAB handguards, but I remove the rail (sanded, then skateboard taped).
