Bad day at the ranger yesterday , problem # 2 diff rifle.... Was shooting normally , let the wife shoot some rounds then 2nd to last shot of the day . fired properly , the shell doesnt eject ? Have a look the cartridge case is stuck in the in the chamber .. It has been fired thats 100% guarantee. Take apart gun , use cleaning rod to push shell out . Now this is the second this has ever done this and i dont know why ?

I clean the rifle thoroughly after every outing ? I just have no idea what is causing this ? Hope someone can give me an idea as to why this is happening ? thanks

Stuck case most likely due to lacquer buildup in the chamber. Do you clean the chamber after every outing, or just the bore?

Otherwise, check your chamber for rust or any burrs, etc.

Agreed. I've had to run multiple mags of muddy rounds through mine to get it to jam up. Something in there is throwing things out of spec. If it's not dirt it's lacquer from the cases.

Stevo is right. Either a build up of lacquer from shooting surplus or a rusty chamber.
Use solvent's like lacquer thinner or brake cleaner with a brass bore brush to fix the lacquer problem.
Or
Use JB Bore Cleaner & JB Bore Bright to fix the rusty chamber issue.

Thanks guys i cleaned it last night , there was a build up in the chamber , bizarre though cause i always clean it right after shooting , but i guess not good enough in the chamber !

I thought mine was a lacquer problem as well, but not matter how much I cleaned it I kept getting stuck cases. I thought I was doing something wrong, and everyone here kept telling me "they make a chamber brush for a reason"... lol.

The culprit turned out to be excessive headspace (bolt closed on No-Go gauge.)
