I really like my scout mount, but I'd like to upgrade the handguards too... right now I have a piece of rail bolted to a black plastic bottom guard. Functional, but ugly. However, I really don't want to lose the ability to clean the gas system without taking off the scout mount. I currently have the top handguard notched so I can take it off without removing the scout mount. Is anyone running this setup, or tried it to see if it works?
