cz858 vs RobArms xcr

So at 300 you're going ti start to need something like a precision rifle? I guess the same is said for the AR as well then?

i fired my bro-inlaw new XCR last week , it was nice but its still cost 3 times my CZ858 .

he had a slight problem with the front sight of the XCR , when sighting at 50 , he was shooting low, he tried lower his front sight post but realized its already bottomed . whats give ?

If you are planning on shooting alot past about 250 yards, then realize that the 858's sights and sighting options are somewhat limited - as is the ammo. Mine will almost shoot an inch most days with good ammo, but I am sure that wouldn't happen much past 100 metres. Still, the 858 is worth it on how it pisses off liberals alone.

Funny. I do not. Do they have new sights onthe latest batch? Mine are Midwest industries. Also, the front post was fixed, but the read peep is adjustable. So if you're shooting low, I assume that you mean that you could not raise the REAR sight any more?

Raising the REAR sight relative to your front sight makes your high point of aim match your low point of impact.

I had no idea you can lower the front post. I've only ever seen fixed ones. Can you guys clarify please?

Seems like the tooling around in the bush and for pure fun to shoot, I'll def go 858 first. Should be able to have one with a few mods all said and done for under 1k.

The main reason I went 858 over the xcr is I canot hunt with the small caliber in my province. 223 is varmit only in Sk but the 7.62 is open for whatever you wanna hunt. Now I would not wanna shoot moose but for deer, antelope, coyote etc 7.62 is the bomb.

Long term, when I have spare money I will still want to get an XCR though as it is a different class and comparing it to the 858 is apples to cherries for difference.

That's cuz that front sight was not intended for this mounting setup. If what I can see from the pic that the front sight is for a gas block setup. Witch one does it look like;
