I was at the range the other day and found that the stock on my 858 hit me unusually hard under my right eye. I currently have a Dlask AK break and it works O.K. compared to none at all, but do the other designs like the GP one cut the recoil impulse any better? I like the rifle in all other regards, but my face is still sore 2 days later. Thanks, Mark

I bought the vz-58 muzzle brake from dlask and found it did the same thing except it hit me in the cheekbone. I took the thing off. I don't know if the other muzzle brakes out there are any better. without the brake, the rifle does not do this at all. I just decided that muzzle climb is an acceptable trade off for no face pain.

I've go the one Marstar sells also. Same result. The Dlask one looks way ###ier, so I'm sticking with it.

I'll sell the Marstar one. If anyone wants it pm me. (no longer available)

I'm sorry to hear that the marstar break did not work for some of you. It worked great for me. The one that worked the best for me was one made by a CGN-er called Kasat. Mind you I was using a VZ-58. Don't know if a longer barrel can change the results like the one on the 858

what ever the brake, i still get a bruise on my cheek bone. the stock sucks plain and simple. the sight are low, stock is high. to get a good sight picture i have to get punched in the face by the stock....

Powerwagon- I kinda solved it by keeping my head further back, towards the end of the stock. I am short, so I am not too cramped when holding the gun. This also allows easier shooting due to the low sights.

My folder doesn't rattle at all, closed or opened.
Oh, and to fix the looseness of the muzzle break, I just popped an O-ring under it cuz I was too lazzy to put the brake on my lathe.
Love being lazzy hehhee.
Before I forget, I have the GP break, and I does work great on SBR's.

I used an o-ring to keep the brake from wobbling
