ive bin looking for a k98 Mauser and i found this for sale Czech Brno k98k,8mm Mauser, post war, all matching numbers, full military stock( whats a usually price for one)

and then i found this Mauser 98k Brno,8mm mauser. sporter with european mounts, very good bore, smooth bolt with German marking(what usually price for one)

my other question is whats the difference between German k98k Mauser and a Czech brno k98k. what one should i buy or should i wait to find a German k98?

All I can tell you is that you shouldn't be afraid of the Czech ones, they're fine rifles. Someone with more experience will have to chime in here.

The Czech Brno K98ks were built on the same equipment post war in the same factory as the German ones during WW2.

Are you planning on restoring the sporter if you buy it? What's been done to it? Is still collectible after its spoter conversion? What does it cost - if you restore it will it be worth your expenditures?

It all depends on what you want the gun for - collecting or hunting and how much time, effort and money you want to put into it. Ones a sporter, ones not.

BTW you're in the wrong forum - this would be better in the Milsurps forum.
