I just got some steel core 7.62. How much steel plate can it go though at say 25-50 yards...SKS. Thanks

Not much. I tried it against a 1/2 mild steel and it left a small crater compared to a SS109.

what he said, I was able to pick the bullets out of the dirt in front of the plate I was shooting at. I'd say the plate was about a 1/2 inch also

Not really any different than lead core 7.62x39

It is not armour piercing. It used a mild-steel core.

it is good ammo, i might buy another case today or tomorrow. the stuff i have been shooting is marked "bxn 85" and chrono's just over 2500 fps from a yugo M59 sks.

i was blasting rocks the last time i was out and there were quite a few sparks flying. it also works really well on tree stumps.

Lol sweet. Yeahthe Edge says its got a mild steel core so they won't let me cap it off there. American Eagle here I come.
