'D'-Day Question

D-day.

"The unnamed day on which a particular operation commences or is to "

Just a term chosen by the Chief of Staff... It has no specific meaning. If you read war history, they say the D Day for normandy, the D day for Market Garden, the D day for invasions in the Pacific.

actually it meant to indicate the "Starting date" as every day after that was planned as D+1,D+2,D+....... so that operation planners didn't have to rename every day on a plan if the plan got delayed a day..... flexible system.

So in theory, we could sound smart in a meeting at work, and say that on Y-year, we will begin producing this product...

On S-second, it will be time for me to sneeze...

Sort of like the line of departure...some people are convinced that there is actually this invisible line that we must move to....

Having said that, I'll go get the keys to the drop zone and the box of grid reference squares. Does anyone know where I can find the black and yellow caution paint? :D
