Hello everyone. Has anyone ever delt with D.J. Friesen Imports? I came across them when I did a search for Canadian firearm accessory dealers. I've never heard of them and am leary of internet sellers that no one seems to know about. Any help would be great. Thanks.

two thumbs WAY up for mr Friesen
a fixture at B.C. gunshows and a very respected man among local reloaders.
He is a tough guy to get a hold of......... by email or by phone.

but if you are dealing with him..... you are in good hands ;)

Good to know he is solid. He was very nice when he responded to my email. I placed an order back. He didn't reply, and I never followed up.

I guess I just sort of wrote him off so to speak. Higginson is great to me, but I would like to support a BC guy too. Thanks for the thread. It will get me to give him another call...

I have bought stuff from him at the Chilliwack gun show and have been very happy but on the flip side I have ordered stuff online and recieved little to no response and never got a call back regarding back-orders.Shame really as I do like to deal with the local guys.

Dave's a really good guy but yes, seems to be hard to get a hold of. I think he shoots trap up at Mission R & G on Weds. nights. Might be able to catch him there if push comes to shove. I've occas. picked up stuff from him there.

I've picked up stuff from Dave in Chilliwack and at the Kamloops gun show. I've found him good to deal with. I find it better to phone his cell when getting information. His booth was sure busy at the Kamloops gun show. Fred

He must be doing a land office business ....his website sez to send e-mail for price quotes...I did..twice...no-reply no business from me...a little squirrelly I would say...:)

I have purchased reloading supplies from Dave for years. Being located 30 minutes from his house helps. I just phone him up and find out if he has what I am looking for or to let me know when it comes in and I will stop by and pick it up the next time I am in the area.
I have never ordered off his website, so I don't know about that, but face to face he is top notch.

I bought stuff from him before but e-mailed a couple of weeks ago and no response so far, like the guys above said, no response, no sale.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm in New Brunswick and am looking for Canadian suppliers to deal with. Not alot of choices here in my neck of the woods. Think I'll give this guy a pass if he's that hard to deal with online. Why set up a site and not keep up with it?

Dave is a real good guy to deal with, right now he is doing the Gunshow show in Kamloops, He's had a bad time in the last year with Family health issues, taking more time out his busy schedule than expected.

I for one will vouch for him, I buy most all my powder and primers from him, he's the only guy locally that brings in Starline brass, Graf and Privi brass for oddball cartridges.

I think he's a one man show and just doesn't have the time.

He is a one man show and he gets at least 100 emails a day. Being an older guy he tries his best to get at them all but he simply can't. The best thing to do is to call him and if you can't reach him just try again. He has an amazing ability to get stuff others can't or before anyone else. One of my favorate suppliers....sometimes I curse him as I end up with WAY more stuff than I intended of buying

28gaugefan...exactly what are you looking for?..Maybe someone here can guide you to what you need...

What I'm looking for is the simplest thing to find or you'd think it was...all I'm looking for are Federal 28S1 wads. The store I deal with here in New Brunswick used to carry them but doesn't now because most of their customers want Claybuster wads and Claybuster doesn't make a replacement for the 28S1. My luck, I get a nice little 28 Gauge and they stop stocking the wads I need. I can get them from the States but don't want to pay the exchange.
