D u gold browning

Once it is fired or the box is missing it is worth the same as a regular browning gold in the same gauge. I just sold my collection of 8 ducks unlimited shot guns some I have had unfired since 1981 and that is all I could get out of mine.
Not many true DU collectors up here and the few that are want new in box unfired.
Check gun broker for a price guide on yours.
3" reg gold sell for 800-950 used less the extra barrel.
Still a nice gun but probally not worth what people with them think. I know it was a eye opener for me. I would have been better off collecting superx1.

Commemorative guns generally only add value on the end of the Original Organisation that sold it, I have seen golds for anything from 550$ to 900$ used it depends on the configuration. If yours is a plan Gold 12 in a standard configuration you should start around 700$. I would sell the Cantilever barrel separately, it's only worth 100$ or so if sold with the gun.
I did some more looking after my 1st post and I was too low on the price if she is the one I think it is in the hard case.It books for 2300.00 but they are not selling for anywhere near that. The last one that sold on auction arms was new complete and unfired and went for 1100. The next one I seen on gunbroker also new unfired for 1500 did not sell. So I will leave you decide. Also remember that is US side which always brings top dollars. Also both of these didn't have the extra barrel.

I think that the DUC guns had smaller runs than the american DU guns.
With out seeing pics I cannot help.You are talking two different guns here
The ann 60 guns were 1997 2500 made
in 1998 browning made 100 du gold guns but not 60 ann.
Never heard that before. I had nine total DU guns but all remington and they were all part of the same runs regardless if canada or US.
Not saying your not right just cannot find any reference to that
He says 17 of 100 and it is a 98
I see the run of 100 in 98 but they we called a collector edition not a 60 ann special??That is what is confusing

I was just speculating, I don't know very much about the DU guns at all.
As far as DU production guns go there are ten's of 1,000's out there made for every Du function across north America and they are all designed to do one thing and that is raise money at each event they are not investment grade guns they are production guns with glitter and sparkle added to them some are of better quality than others but that is about it,. One exception I was working in a gun shop in the early 90's and we had a Winchester Model 21 that was built by Pachymer it was absolutely beautiful the gold inlays alone would be worth 3-4 thousand $ the fellow that bought the gun paid about 5k for it it is likely worth 25-35 today not because it has anything to do with Du butt because of what it is and who did the work.
You are right and I agree for the most part except there was some that were true investments ( more than the one you mentioned) but yes the majoirity are just pretty production guns and sell accordingly.I know I got fooled and kept nine unfired for 25-30 years , thinking I had something of value. In the end I sold 8 and kept one and might have broke even on them when I sold them last year.Don't get me wrong all 8 buyers were more than pleased but all bought them just to hunt with not stash as a potential investment like I did.

DU Inc. (US) was founded in 1937, DUC (Canada) a year later in 1938.
DUC generally takes advantage of DU Inc. firearms, but not all editions.
DUC does have a few commemorative runs of firearms that differ from DU Inc., and were so numbered. As an example. the DUC 50th Anniversary edition "last of the line" Model 101 Winchester's that were specially serially numbered and cased.

quick question, where do these guns come from? Do you buy them new at store or they are prizes and if so where do I go win one?. I live in Southern Ontario and looking for these gun raffle dinners that I hear of in the states but haven't found anything here yet.
Look up the DU web site, and they will list the banquets in you area. Unless you find one at a gun shop that had been traded in or bought privately, the dinner banquets are the only place to find them. I have a few myself, but lately there have not been any up for sale at the local DU functions.
Many times these guns are bought at a dinner auction for more than they are worth. If your wife is not with you at the dinner, the story is that you won it
