Just got my hands on a couple of DU guns.....but I don't know enough about them!

The first is a Handi rifle combo in 30/30 and 12 guage, but get this.....all stainless! Of course they have the D/U engraving and what not.

The other is a Browning BPS 10 Guage, with awesome walnut, a gloss blued barrel and a silver reciever engraved to the hilt. Beautiful unfired gun with a mother^&%$'er of a safe kiss on the butt.:( .

Can you guys offer up an opinion on there value?

Thanks a buch.

Ryan

I have been involved with DU Canada for many-many years, In my humble opinion the DU emblem on any rifle / shotgun increases the value by about 25 bucks. The fact some guys will pay double value or more in the heat of the moment at a DU auction means only that they had been consuming too much booze.

I have never been afraid of using any DU branded firearm as a firearm as they are not rare by any stretch of the imagination. :D

They're not worth any more than normal, to people like me they are worth less cause some of us don't like all that promotional DU crap stamped on our guns. Maybe some of the very first ones may be worth a little more, but the last 25 years worth of them are so common, there is nothing special about them unless you find a buyer who bought into the marketing and thinks they are.

DU guns are worth about the same as guns of the same grade without the DU logo. There are all kinds of DU guns in circulation and they don't command a premium simply because of the logo.

You are correct on value, but most DU guns have nicer wood and engraveing and yet still get the same price if not less than the same gun without the DU name. I have A DU Browning A5 that has awsome wood . Thats why I bought the gun years ago because of the nice figure in the wood, Other than that it's like any other japan made A5 with screw in chokes. I have to agree with you Oscar, Don't buy a DU gun for an investment buy them if you like them.

about a year ago I had a new unfired DU Handi-Rifle set in 30-30 and 20 gauge, stainless like yours...in the DU take-down soft case, nice little rig actually. I think I sold it for $325,..maybe it was $350...
