DA 8.5 Grizzly forend

Am I able to use a regular 870 forend on the 8.5 Grizzly? I'm thinking of getting a Fab Defense Railed forend.

Won't work, not without a lot of heavy modification to the plastic, and basically cutting in half.

To answer your question directly though, the forend tube on the 8.5 grizz is of a different dimension, and is not interoperable with regular 870 forends.

FAB wont work, Promag will, we have done lots last batch. You need a fore grip to keep your hand from in front of the short barrel, more control as well. Just cut it down. They are HERE.

It just takes a little work with a wooden dowel wrapped in sand paper to modify them to fit DA's tubes.

Also true, I had to do that to my mag-fed with a fab grip.

However, I was referring to the length of tue tube, not the diameter.
