Hey guys,

I just recently bought a Dominion Arms 12.5" Grizzly shotgun and I seem to be having a problem with the shotgun picking up the rounds to chamber.

I haven't fired any slug or 00 buck through it yet but I have fired a few boxes of #2 shot and BB. Any suggestions on what it might be, besides it being a Remington 870 knock off?

It will chamber the first round but after that the consecutive rounds keep getting stuck halfway out of the magazine tube.

Any one else have similar problems with their DA Grizzly's?

Cheers,

-Jimmy

I had one, and the receiver around the mag tube area was so badly burred up you couldn't even get a shell thru it. I de burred the whole thing and immediately sold it, and never again will you see one of those things in my safe

Try a different magazine spring? Factory might have put a 8.5" spring in a 12.5" gun?
If you don't have a spring you can "simulate" a longer one by stuffing a wooden dowl of sufficient diameter and length prior to adding endcap.
This will compress the spring and you can try 1 or 2 rounds to see if the 2nd one keeps hanging up.
Try cycling the action on dummy rounds to see if you can see what is happening.
Don't recommend you firing it in this configuration.

I would look for burrs on the inside of the mag tube where it enters the receiver. Also, if you bought new, consider contacting CanAm for warranty?

Haha, I think I just might end up doing that. I cleaned the whole gun, deburred the mag tube and tried the dowel thing. The rounds are still getting caught up. I'm probably going to order the follower and spring. Thanks for the suggestions guys.

So as it turns out I did end up ordering an S & J follower and the rounds leave the magazine tube and enter the chamber flawlessly.

Put over 100 rounds through the shotgun yesterday and not one single feed problem.

Thanks to S & J Hardware and your guys input for the help.
