I bought a used 12.5" DA grizzly a while ago and and noticed that the forcing cone was cut fairly long but it was also very rough. I am wondering if this is normal or not? When ever I would find a shot cut it was tore up pretty bad.
I ended up honing and polishing it tonight, now its a nice shiny finish like the barrel. I had the barrel threaded for chokes as well a while ago so I am hoping that this will help with the pattering.
So is it normal for these barrels to have this rough forcing cone or maybe the previous owner cut it with out cleaning it up?
