Da556 barrels

Hammer forged, chrome lined. All you need to know.

Well, not exactly - they are hammer forged, they are chrome lined and they're a pretty good quality "run of the mill" GI type barrel. They don't use a different barrel for military sales - in other words, you're getting a machine gun barrel that is very durable, and the metallurgy is pretty darned impressive for what you pay. You're not going to get the quality of production you'd get from the other CHF/CL barrel out there, but you're not paying for a Colt Canada barrel.

You nailed it right. Chicom ar15 is a military based rifle but in semi auto mode.

If you are looking to build out of mid range average components this barrel will not let you down. Good metallurgy and chrome lined at a fraction of the cost. As good as any except the high end manufacturers who have tighter tolerances, better finish and maybe better steel. High end barrels are great if you have a high end build but if not save your money. High end builds are all about bragging rights. Won't shoot any straighter. I have a Chinese CQA and it's dead nuts on. Way more accurate than the shooter. LOL

What's your opinion on them? Good or bad

They are excellent barrels, hammer forged, chrome lined and they are very accurate.
I have one on my M16A1 clone with thousands of rounds through it now hard and fast and it's outstanding. It shoots far better than my old SP1 Colt barrel ever did as far as accuracy.
I personally don't think you can beat that quality for price with anything in North America. Not even close.

You can listen to guys who have never actually put one on an AR15 or probably never even fired a DA556 repeating BS from the internet or you can listen to guys who actually have installed them and shot them extensively.

They are excellent barrels. Not even just because of the price, they are just great barrels. The dirt cheap price is just a bonus.

Good barrels, don't always believe that "spend more to get more" bulls**t people on here are always selling. Do a little research on the barrel and you will see it's good quality.

They're not drilled for taper pins!

This is true.
Which is actually a bonus because if they were, the odds of finding any old gas block and magically having the taper pin holes in the FSB line up with the barrel taper pin grooves would be like a needle in a haystack.
It costs about $90 to have a barrel tailor taper pin drilled to any FSB you find at a gun smith.
I only use traditional FSB on my AR's but most people these days want set screw mounted, low profile, tactical hummina-ha's or whatever anyhow.
