DAA Race Master Holster - tight squeeze on my Shadow

I've had my Race Master for almost a year now. I thought it would loosen up a bit but it is still more tight than I think it should be. Even with the dial turned out as far as it will reliably operate I still often lift my pants trying to get the Shadow out of the holster. Is it supposed to be like this?

I doubt it. My DAA holster is so easy to draw from, I sometimes double check that the gun is really in the holster.

Sell the shadow order an infinity and buy the infinity block. Problem solved.
Is the hosted set at an angle which doesnt allow you lift the gun straight out? Could the wrong block be installed?

there are some variances in frames, so I'd just try fitting the block to your gun. Saul should be able to give you some advice.

as long as its not binding because you are twisting the gun, check where its binding and apply sandpaper

You can reduce extra tension by putting some grease on the inner parts of the sliding block.

I took the holster apart and checked it out. The trigger guard measured about 9.2mm wide, while the guard holder of the holster measured about 8.9mm. I used a file to open the holder up to about 9.05mm and now it is a ton easier to get the gun out. I'll try it at the range. Pretty simple, thanks guys.
