I saw this video a little while ago and then I saw Fast Toys had them in stock, so I ordered a couple for my presses.
Of all the stoppages you can have with progressive presses, case feeder hang ups seem the most frequent. Although they are usually solved quickly and easily, constantly battling with jams, sideways cases causing brass waterfalls or waiting for your feeder to catch up as it is not picking up every hole can be annoying.
I just installed one plate on my Mark7 press and it's changed my life.
I just did 1000 rounds and everything he says in the video is accurate. This feeder isn't variable speed but with it picking up a case on almost every slot it does make things "faster." The wedge works perfectly and gave me 0 jams in 1000 rounds. No sideways cases jamming up the tube. And finally, why the hell hasn't anyone else stuck a D ring to pick up the plate?
I can't wait to try them out in my variable speed feeders. I can see a stack of dillon plates hitting the EE soon.
Even if you don't want to spring for the whole plate, the wedge alone would probably be a huge upgrade.
