Daewoo DP-51

Mine is registered as Prohib but I have properly measured the barrel and could remove it from that class. It shoots quite well and has a very unique trigger action. It is basically a copy of a Smith And Wesson and even accepts S & W mags. It has a conventional single and double action trigger with a frame mounted safety, not a hammer drop on the slide and it also has a interesting ability, once loaded you simply push the hammer forward to the frame. When you are ready to shoot you just pull the trigger slightly and the hammer recocks! I bought it because of this feature, just thought it was neat!

I wouldn't want to put any money on it, but I don't think there's even a Canadian Daewoo firearms distributor. In any case, it's prohibited. The law says 105mm or less. Not 105mm or under 105mm. How you measure the barrel doesn't matter. The manufacturer says it has a 105mm barrel. That's enough to make it evil.

This is absolutely not true. I can name at least one example of a gun that should be prohibited due to barrel length if RCMP was to go by what the manufacturer claims. Fortunately, the gun in question (Taurus PT24/7) is only restricted.
