Daisy 853c

I bought mine on Kijiji. I've seen a couple pop up there over the years but they're always obscurely listed in the paintball section because Kijiji doesn't allow firearms, airguns, airsoft, etc. Your best bet would probably be here or another firearms/airgun related classified site or forum. Years ago I think there were some Canadian sites involved with biathlon, smallbore and competitive air rifle shooting that sold them but I'd imagine they're long sold out.

I assume you're buying this for your son or daughter? If so maybe try talking to some of the officers in their unit; especially the ones involved in the marksmanship program. Oftentimes they will have bought them for their kids who then age out. Also try Cadet related Facebook groups. Don't make it a WTB post because it will probably be taken down; but ask about where to find one and you might get people messaging you.

It's also important that you get the 853C version instead of the 853. The plain 853 is considered a non-restricted firearm and requires a license, is subject to transport and storage requirements etc.

The 853c is no longer made. The 753 is the newer one. Londero was selling them for 399 recently but see they are sold out. They have had stock over the past few years over anyone other dealers.

I don't know why but these Daisy BB rifles have been on my Buy List but they always seem to be sold out or discontinued.
The 499B Champion Competition @ $299 is in stock. Might have to get myself a Xmas present :)

Daisy 853C - I sold one last summer to a Neighbour GrandPa who had bought it for his Grandson, who was in Canada Army Cadet program. The boy was really wondering how it was possible that I had one here - his "commander" says, now-a-days, they are not "sold as surplus" - they are turned in for crushing - about the only legit way, that they have, to get rid of them, any more. It was not always done that way. On CGN, I had bought a bunch of parts - GrandPa was a former CREME - he pronounces that as "ree-mee" - he does not pronounce the "C" - during his time in that role, his job in Canadian Forces became named as "Weapons Tech".

So far as I know the "C" suffix refers to "Canadian" - the Cadet program here wants a magazine, whereas the same guns in USA - Cadets, Boy Scouts, etc. - want single shot guns.
