Okay folks, surely somebody here knows all about this.

I did a "trigger job" on my son's Daisy Buck (with the fiber optic front sight) by removing one of the two trigger springs - it lowered the trigger pull, and the safety still worked. Learned about this from somewhere on the 'net.

Tried the same thing on my girl's Daisy Buck (which is the version without the fiber optic front sight)- and the safety would not engage until after it is fully cocked. Safety still works, but just can't be engaged until after cocking. Took the unit apart, and it seems the trigger group is different between the two versions. Hard to explain, but his has a fixed piece, and hers has a floating piece that requires the spring installed to allow the safety to engage.

So.....any of you know how to resolve this? I'd still like to have the lower trigger pull, but I also want the safety to work too.

Cheers,
D
