DAK Sports/airgunsonly.com, How on earth to get a hold of them? Still in business?

I recently bought an air rifle from them, and after about a 2 month hassle, they finally got around to selling me a rather expensive rifle/scope combo.

Only problem is, when I finally did get it, they didn't include the owner's manual for the gun, or the scope. When I did manage to get in touch with Derek by some miracle, he said they were forgotten by accident and he had them sitting on his "shipping shelf" and he'd send them out right away - that was 2 months ago.

They don't respond to emails, and the company's only listed phone number goes right to the message manager, which then proceeds to inform you that the message box is full and you can't even leave a message - it's been that way for 3 months.

In case you can't tell, I am VERY unimpressed with their customer service, I've never come across such a poorly run business before in my life. If they weren't the only Weihrauch dealer I could find in western Canada, I would never deal with them again. I should give my head a shake for dealing with them in the first place, but I had to have the gun.

If anyone has any ideas of how to actually get a hold of these people and get them to send my manuals, it would be much appreciated.

In the meantime, I've sent an email to Weihrauch directly, so hopefully they'll come through for me.

If anyone knows of another Weihrauch dealer in Canada, please let me know, as I'd like to purchase some additional accessories and possibly get the paperwork through them.

Thanks,

Waxy

Sadly, your experience mirrors my own. Substitute a scope and mount for your HW and we went through the same thing. I was pretty chuffed about having a dealer with such nice brands in my own province but the actuality of dealing with them diminished my enthusiasm considerably. I won't be patronizing DAK further in any capacity. I'm sorry to hear that my situation was not a one off. Best of luck...

Thanks for the head's up mbogo3.

I called D&LAirguns in Langley and they went out of their way to solve my problems in about 5 mins. Now THAT is how a business should be run.

I know where I'll be buying from now on...

Good grief! Previously known as Illingsworth, this co. has and continues to have a rather poor image within the firearms community. My suggestion is: Forget about it!!!

What customer service???

Benalto, AB. Just West of Red Deer. www.airgunsonly.com/frames.html. They have gone downhill a lot. My first order from them last year went OK. But this year they just didn't seem interested in doing business and stop replying to my emails. :( Lucky for me no money exchanged hands yet. I've heard from another shooter that they took his money then suddenly could not be contacted. It took awhile to sort it out. I suspect there may be something going on in their personal lives, but that's no excuse to be non-communicative.
