On my last range session I started to have some problems with damage to the case mouths. This happened on the last round in the magazine, with both factory and reloaded rounds. The rest functioned perfectly. About half of these cases ejected while the other half were left sitting on top of the magazine, with the slide locked open.
Any thoughts or suggestions? My first thought is perhaps the magazine, and a weak magazine spring.
Thanks.

Clean the gun - chamber and lube the rail - barrel lugs.
Try it with a different magazine and factory ammo.
The slide smash the case that are not ejected. Check extractor for damage.

you need to check extractor ...youtube

you need to clean under around extractor
if a 1911 remove extractor and clean the hole ... when clean ...you need to check extractor ...youtube

tune or replace it ... the web

if it is a Norinco extractor 1911 ... get a aftermarket ... replace and tune it

Polish up the extractor and adjust the tension. All my Norc 1911s run fine with the Norc extractor.

Thanks. I have pulled my extractor, cleaned it up and adjusted the tension slightly (hopefully enough). Now all I need is an open shooting range to try it out:)
