I met a freind at a coffee shop today as he wanted to come along to Bass Pro. We had coffee and a muffin and when we were paying the lady who is the owner asked my freind what his buckle said and he replied Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. She then began to ask what made grunting noise which was coming from behind her house, she thought perhaps a moose or deer or something. we paid and she tells us that her father doesn't appreciate hunting or hunters and that he goes out and pisses on a guys bait who is hunting on the adjacent property with permission because he doesn't beleive in hunting. I am sure she knew I wasn't impressesd as we asked here where this was and what her fathers name was. She told us Orillia and would give his name. But I told here that he could be and should be charged if caught. These anti's don't realize that hunters are the first line of conservation and we help to keep herds healthier. Man I was steeming when I left there!!!!!
 
Anyone who "doesn't believe in hunting" is ignorant. And no, that's not a generalization, it's the truth. Hunting is a God-given RIGHT. Now of course not everyone is right for the job of taking down an animal, which I understand, but denying that death has to come before the meat can be eaten is completely unacceptable.

Also walk her and her dad through a local slaughter house, and if they are vegan/vegis, walk them through an organic farm where they shoot critters on sight before they eat their lettuce.

Next show them a car after it hits a Moose on the highway, and kills a family inside.

Or you can just do as I would have, and tell her to go mind her own f-ing business. :D
 
Some people cannot eat meat from Safeway or where the hell ever because of the #### they are feeding the animals at the feedlot, brood farm etc. I can buy free range elk and eat it but I enjoy hunting for the sport as well as the meat. Usually I respond to anti's with the reply that "if I was as ignorant as you I would not talk or maybe just not leave the house", that usually starts something.
 
If I am anti-flower, does that give me the right to dump and urinate in her flower bed? What it boils down to is live and let live and show RESPECT for the next person, wether you agree with their views or not.

As a society we seem to be way passed this common sense point. Now we have to stick our noses in other's business and try and force everyone to submit to our views.

Have the guy charged with trespassing. Leave the interfering with a legal hunt as backup.
