Dan Wesson 1911's hard to come by?

Who in Canada sells Dan Wesson 1911's? and what do they do for?

I've always wanted a 10mm and think Razorback or Commander might be the way to go.


BTW any dan wesson owners here? Would like to get some feedback on DW 1911s.

Last year a friend and I did a tour of various U.S. gunshops in Ohio and Michigan and fondled just about every 1911 that the clerks would let us hold. The Dan Wessons really stood out. They were among the nicest 1911 pistols we saw and the prices were less than most Kimbers or S&W1911s.

I'm also in the market for a Dan Wesson Bobtail Commander in 10mm. I was on the Dan Wesson webpage a while back and found London Arms as a dealer. I e-mailed them and they said they're expecting their first shipment of Dan Wesson products early in the New Year. Could be good news for us.

They are and they can. Expect the usuall 4-12 week delay I'm sure.

If anyone gets a price on the commander bobtail 10mm,be sure to post a price.IF Questar has orders for more than one we may get a better price.I have a s&w 1066 which has the commander length slide and am very imprest with the cartridge.For anyone needing a compact pistol for wilderness,defence against blackbears,this would be the cartrdge . I am sure a 200 grain bullet would competely go through a bear

I fear my Canadian cousins have a short memory span. Why? I made our board miserable with my search for a bobtailed Dan Wesson Commander in 10mm. I finally settled for a 10mm Commander with a flat main spring housing. Are bobtailed 10mm Dan Wessons that hard to find? YOU BETCHA! Regards, Richard
