Just bought this Dan Wesson 44 used thanks to help from fellow gunnutz. Wanted to start off by saying thanks.

Now for my question. Although the revolver is awesome it came without the barrel wrench. I have looked around a bit and can't find one. So once again I am turning to this great group for assistance. If anyone can help me find a wrench It would be much appreciated.

I am also interested in getting a 6inch shroud and barrell for it. Has anyone been able to get one from CZ successfully? If so how difficult was it to do?

I understand Pachmayr made grips for the Dan Wesson large frame at one time but don't any more. I am looking for one. Alternative may be the houge rubber grip. wanted to know if anyone could share their experiance with either.

Thanks again to everyone.

Both appear frequently on eBay, but finding somebody to ship up here is the challenge. CZ USA does indeed sell the barrels/shrouds but again only shipping to US.

While CZ USA does sell parts for Dan Wesson revolvers, the barrel and shroud assemblies are mostly if not all sold out. They were mainly NOS left over from the initial runs. Finding extra assemblies is pretty difficult in Canada, Stateside less so. Good luck.

Hi- I'm the guy that pointed you towards that Dan. Fondled it many times, you may see some of my dried drool on it.

Brownells has a few aftermarket barrel wrenchs, they are now discontinued but they had 3 as of a month ago. I've got the wrench that came with my 744.... you can't have it........... but pm me and you can borrow it.

Thanks for the replies.
I kind of figured it might be a challenge. I have a saved search up for e-bay already. I'll maybe have to try one of the us sites like gunbroker and see if someone is willing to ship to Canada.

The barrel and shroud is a lower priority but thought I would ask. Anyone know who the CZ distributor is for Canada? Maybe longshot but worth a try. I can see if there are any possibilities there.

How about the grips? People perfer wood or synthetic ( rubber or nylon type).

Thanks again.

I'm in the same spot, just got the gun no tool. Thought some barrel options would be nice. The grain on my grips is rather ho-hum compared the the photo, now I have to look for an option there to.

I said I was from Canada which probably made it worse! Come to think of it, he didn't actually state that he could sell to the public...period. Worth calling him though. If he no longer stocks with Brownells he may be selling to the general public. Just don't say that you're from Canada I guess!

Found the factory wood grips were very comfortable for me even with the hotter rounds.

They're some target styles out there too, never tried them though.

I'm with Dan B on the Pachmeyers, looked kinda ugly and to be honest weren't any more comfortable than the wood units.

i have a 44(blued), a 357 blued, and am working on a deal for a stainless 357 with no barrels, i have found barrels for sale on "The Dan Wesson Forum" u.s. site, its the shrouds i cant find. so i will b looking for another multi barrelled set......
