Dan Wesson pm-7

This is what I found:

"DW doesn't have a huge facility by industry standards, and with limited space and production potential, to bring new models on, "old" models have to be sacrificed. DW is moving forward with upgrades in quality while trimming their lines that may overlap each other."

Since the introduction of the Valor (witch it about $100 more with the stainless finish than the PM-7) and the RZ-45, they probably decided to simply drop the PM-7 from the lineup.

I bought my pm7 for $1300 new from a gun dealer less than three years ago the valor is selling for around $2000.the valor has a forged frame the pm7 has cast frame.i would think $1400 for yours is a fair asking price

FYI the last batch of PM-7's made in 2010 had a forged frame.

found it in 1911 forum. Dan Wesson 2010 made = Forge frame and slide. check your casing envelope for date of manufacturing.

Edwin: to know for sure if your Pm-7 as a forged frame you should have 8 raised rear cocking serrations or 9 valleys on the slide witch indicate a 2010 manuf. and your serial # should begin with S followed by 0. If your serial is S followed by 7-8 or 9 it was made in 2007, 2008 or 2009 and as a cast frame. The pre-2010 had 11 raised rear cocking serrations on the slide...

The earlier Pm-7 would probably sell for $1400 in NIB condition, they were selling for under $1300 in 2008-2009. The newer one made in 2010 (scarce) would bring a premium and would probably sell for $1600.
