Here's a classic situation of putting the cart before the horse, but what the heck you only live once and my kids don't really have to eat do they?
I just purchased a stainless Dan Wesson .357 revolver when all along I was sort of looking for a S&W, and now I'm going to ask if anyone has opinions about these guns. A bit late but I wouldn't mind hearing from the experts.
Thanks

I have a 15-4 and have several gold medals to prove that it can shoot .....I was just a little too slow in deciding (sp) on buying the one you picked up.......have fun with it.

I have used Silverbacks, at the pistol range of course. Nothing but good to say about accuracy and sufficient weight to absorb felt recoil. It is a blued 8 inch 44 magnum, with the interchangeable barrels.

Resulting in me, of course purchasing one (same model 44)
I must say that I was impressed by the fit and quality of said item.....

My two cents, from a soon to be owner, that is!

Thanks for the input guys. Now I can only hope it shoots as well as I am expecting. I'll post my impressions of it when I get it out the first time after I receive it. :)

The only thing I've seen go wrong with these is that they appear to go out of time. When this happens just tighten up the side plate screws and they're back in time again, kind of neat really. They are very good revolvers.

I have a 15VH and a 715VH. I think that they are excellent revolvers.

I note that the barrel-nut should be checked periodically and it is important to use the provided gauge for the cylinder gap set-up.

I make an effort to hold the gun the same way each time when I re-assemble. By doing it the same way each time, the sights of different barrel sets seem to hold a consistent zero once adjusted.

Enjoy your new gun.
